Wage: £8.35 per hour
Hours: Minimum 6 hours per week

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking to recruit a new weekend Games Masters at our award-winning escape game venue in York. You will be responsible for greeting teams when they arrive at HQ, delivering a ‘house rules’ briefing and a game briefing (in character). Once the teams start their mission, you will need to guide them through the 60 minutes, offering clues and hints at appropriate times through a walkie-talkie system.

There will be additional duties required of you, such as responding to booking enquiries, flyering, and some general cleaning. Some basic DIY and decorating skills would also be advantageous.

ABOUT YOU

Can You Escape? is all about immersing the customers in the experience of being a secret agent for the hour that they’re with us, so it is vital that we choose the right individual to join our team. This role will require more than just turning up to do the bare minimum to get through a shift. What we need is a confident, outgoing individual who won’t be embarrassed when giving briefings in character. We need someone who can entertain our customers and create an experience they will never forget. Therefore having experience working with the general public in a customer service capacity (particularly with groups such as young children’s parties, hen/stag parties, corporate team building and foreign tourists) is highly desirable.

You must be available Friday - Sunday, but the flexibility to do last minute shifts or more hours during busier periods would be very advantageous.
